Gerald Levert’s Unsung Episode on TVOne | The Impact On My Life

tvone.tv tvone.tv Watch Gerald Levert’s and other Unsung episodes. Gerald Levert was one of my favorite singers. I loved “Casanova” from back in the day! I watched the season finale of Unsung on TVOne about Gerald Levert’s life. He was such a teddy bear. It is unfortunate that he never received a Grammy, the symbol of success of the music industry, in his lifetime though he did receive one posthumously. Watching his story reminded me that we need to find validation in our lives and not seek outside sources. Appreciation is nice but it should not be the end all, be all. Eddie Levert gave me a new favorite quote: “Don’t give the business all of you. You have to save something for yourself.” This is true in life whether it’s your job, your family and friends. Eshe from Arrested Development’s Unsung gave me another favorite quote: “Fame does nothing but intensify who you already are.” So true. Some celebrities seem to wild out in the spot light. But the chance is great that they were already wild. They just didn’t have an audience watching. I keep my work and personal separate. A job will have you sleep on a pallet in the corner if you let it. Not for me. I get in, do my job and get out. That’s all I can do. I have my own family and outside interests. My daughter goes away to college this week. Sad face. Vlog Days of Summer #10
