A 38-year-old teacher whose husband found her having sex with a 16-year-old boy in a vehicle at or near St. Lucie West Centennial High School was arrested Sunday on a felony charge, according to an affidavit and police. Amie Lou Neely, of the 400 block of Southwest Crabapple Cove in Port St. Lucie, was arrested at 5 am Sunday on a sexual assault related charge. Neely teaches at Community Christian Academy in the 700 block of Southeast Salerno Road in Stuart, said Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman. “Community Christian Academy is aware of a legal situation involving a teacher and we are cooperating with law enforcement officials who are dealing with this as an ongoing investigation,” said Norma Hammond, administrative director for the school. “For that reason we have no further comment at this time. We will be issuing a more detailed statement after meeting with school board and church leadership.” Police on Saturday were told the 16-year-old boy walked to a home and told those there that Neely’s husband threw him out of the house “because he had sex with Amie.” The 16-year-old boy told police he drove Neely to a secluded area by St. Lucie West Centennial High School and parked. He got in the back seat and put a condom on before Neely also got in the back seat. The high school is less than a half mile from Neely’s listed address.
